PISTE, the stick-figure fencing game
A foil bout that plays by the real rules: right-of-way, parry-riposte, simultaneous attacks, referee calls and all. First to 5 touches. If you can win here, you understand why the referee keeps giving the other kid the point.

Weapon:
Difficulty:
Foil: right-of-way, when both hit, the attacker gets the point. Parry to steal priority.
Keyboard: ←→ footwork · Space attack (extend, it lunges when you're in range) · K or ↓ parry. When the opponent's blade glows amber, they're attacking, that's your moment to parry, then hit Space when RIPOSTE! appears. Watch for ⚡ IN RANGE to know when your attack will lunge.
Why you keep losing the double touches: in foil, when both
fencers hit, the referee awards the point to the one who was attacking. Start your attack first, or
parry theirs and riposte, don't just stick your arm out. That's right-of-way,
and this game referees it exactly the way a human would. Want to practise the calls? Try Call the touch. More: rules & scoring ·
